Dr. Dimple Patel, an accomplished Director of Education, serves as the STEM Programs Executive Director at KGS Education Services. Her educational journey, culminating in a Doctorate in Education from Washington State University, reflects a commitment to advancing learning in both higher education and K-12 sectors. With a profound passion for STEM education, Dimple has become a beacon of innovation and leadership.

Dr. Abhishek Somani, Ph.D

Dr. Abhishek Somani, with a Ph.D. in Economics from Iowa State University, plays a pivotal role as a Senior Economist and Team Leader at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. His specialization in the analysis of electric power systems positions him as a key figure in shaping the intersection of economics and energy.

Dr. Somani’s research interests span the design and analysis of electric power markets, both domestically in the USA and internationally. His contributions have been instrumental in understanding the economic dynamics of energy systems.

Over the years, Dr. Somani has developed cutting-edge tools, models, and methodologies for the economic valuation of energy systems and technologies. His work reflects a keen understanding of prevailing regulatory, policy, and market conditions.

Dr. Somani oversees PNNL’s involvement in the DOE’s HydroWIRES initiative, exploring the role of hydropower in ensuring the reliability and resilience of power systems. He is also the alternate US delegate for International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Hydropower and Energy Storage Technology Collaboration Programmes (TCP).

As the lab-lead for the Net Zero World Initiative (NZWI) at PNNL, Dr. Abhishek Somani brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to KGS Education Services, ensuring that our initiatives are grounded in rigorous economic analysis and forward-thinking strategies.
